Fantasie Smoothing Strapless Bra
Average Rating:

The Fantasie Smoothing Strapless bra is the winner of the 2008 judges select Undie Award for Best Full Figure Strapless Bra and the outright winner of the 2009 Undie Award for Best Average Figure Strapless Bra. We couldn’t find this bra in a cup size lower than DD, so we’re not so sure about the win for average sized figures since many of our “average sized” examiners were unable to even test it out. The ladies who were able to try it loved it:
In the past, I’ve only had any luck with longline style strapless bras, but those are hot in the summer. I was surprised to find that the Fantasie bra held me up all day even though I was outside and sweaty in the heat. The smoothing look was an added bonus underneath the thin fabric of my favorite strapless summer dress! -Examiner #3
The only complaints about the bra were that it separates the breasts too much:
It’s so refreshing to not have to constantly yank up a strapless bra for once! I wish it didn’t separate so much. Nice cleavage is especially important in strapless clothes. I guess we can’t have everything, though. -Examiner #5

The Calvin Klein Seductive Comfort Customized Lift Strapless Bra is quite a mouthful in name. It won the judges selection Undie Award in 2009 for “Best Average Sized Strapless Bra”. Unlike the Fantasie bra above, this one does come in more average sizes (B-DD cups). Also different is that that Calvin Klein bra offers a little less coverage:
This bra fit lower than I’m used to. I wasn’t expecting it to sit so low on my body. Having said that, it held me up beautifully. The band was a little tight, but it definitely didn’t slip. It’s also prettier than most strapless bras. -Examiner #9
Most were happy with its versatility:
This bra looks great under tube tops, tank tops and dresses. It’s become my “go to” bra whenever I’m wearing something that would otherwise show straps. -Examiner #7
Although it’s great strapless, the fact that the detachable straps allow for a standard or halter style makes this bra on of my favorites for everyday use. -Examiner #9
A silicone gripper on the wings keeps this bra from slipping around. The detachable straps can be used in standard, halter and criss-cross positions.

Featuring “magic fingers” technology that places three thin supportive fingers between layers of foam in the cup, the Va Bien Ultra Lift Strapless bra definitely provides lift. Our smaller examiners were quite fond of it:
This is probably my favorite strapless bra. I love the way it lifts my breasts up and supports me all day. That’s pretty rare for a strapless bra. -Examiner #1
The larger ladies weren’t so happy.
What the heck were they thinking? There’s way too much padding in this bra! It made me look like my upper body is 100% boob. On top of that, it slipped quite a bit. I could have just wrapped my boobs in foam and a called it a day. -Examiner #5.
The heavy padding is required to encase the magic fingers, so this bra does favor the smaller ladies – even though its mostly available in large sizes. We recommend the longline version of this bra for larger busted women. The slimming lower half of the bra provides some much needed definition to separate the breasts from the lower part of the torso.
